Sausage & Egg Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 5 Slices Whole Grain Bread or whatever kind you like
  • 5-6 cooked Sausage Links or more for more meat
  • 8 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Pinch Ground Mustard to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Grease a 13 X 9 baking dish.
  • Break apart 5 slices of Nature's Pride bread into small pieces and put them into the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Break apart sausage links into small pieces and put them on top of the bread.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the bread and sausage layers.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and ground mustard.
  • Pour this egg mixture over the bread, sausage, and cheese.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • Slice up and serve!

Notes

*Swap the sausage for bacon, ham, or a vegetarian option like sautéed vegetables.
*Use whole grain, sourdough, or even gluten-free bread if needed.
