20 Minute Pepper and Kielbasa Pasta

From start to finish, this recipe will take you only 20 minutes; it's the perfect weeknight dinner dish after a hard day of work!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Elbow Pasta or Farfalle
  • 1 package Hillshire Farms Turkey Kielbasa 12 or 13 oz
  • 1 Red Pepper sliced
  • 1 Yellow Pepper sliced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or beef bouillion and water
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • ¼ cup parsley
  • 1-2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese optional topping

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to box directions, cooking about 12 minutes or so to get al dente.
  • While pasta is cooking, sauté peppers in oil until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add kielbasa and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add broth and pepper and bring to a boil.
  • When your pasta is cooked, strain it and add it to a large bowl- you want to leave plenty of room to mix.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes, and then place over cooked pasta.
  • Mix the kielbasa, peppers, and pasta in the sauce to get everything evenly coated and ready to serve.
  • Top with parsley and parmesan cheese.

Notes

*Enhance your dish by adding onions, cabbage, green beans, or mushrooms.
